My Story

I am originally from South Dakota - the land of Great Faces, Great Places!  I attended undergraduate school in South Dakota before moving to North Dakota for graduate school.  I received my Master's of Occupational Therapy Degree from the University of Mary in 2012.

I launched my career in the vibrant Denver, CO area, providing therapy services in outpatient and private school settings.  But my thirst for knowledge and becoming a well rounded therapist led me to work at renowned Level 1 acute care hospitals, including the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, IA, and Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.  After 5 years in Hawaii, I moved back to Tennessee and now work within the public school setting as a lead occupational therapist.

My inspiration to become an occupational therapist stemmed from my desire to help people. I've always seen the best in others a find immense joy in supporting those around me.  Witnessing the transformative power of therapy in the lives of young ones, along with the effects that early invention and support can have on families, motivates me to continue this rewarding career.  I strive to not only combine my love for working with children but also be a valuable resource for families, helping to improve their child's and their own quality of life.

After living here for a little under two years, I have found a huge need for pediatric occupational therapy services within Wilson and surrounding counties.   I want to be able to help bridge the gap in the lack of services that are available within these areas, as well as, provide quality and reliable services to you and your child.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family - Lauren and Theo.  We have three big, lovable dogs - Rasta, Marley, and Ridgely.  We all enjoy spending time outdoors, playing and watching sports, and eating yummy deserts.
